Turn a sleepy town into a thriving place in Township a field at a time. 

When you first step into Township, the game introduces you to the amenities in town. Ernie is the mayor of another town and he offers you his friendship and guidance. First, he teaches you how to sow seeds for wheat in the field. Don’t worry, you are not doing the job yourself. Once you tap on the field, farmers will start to arrive to help. 

While waiting for your plants to grow, he tells you to feed the cow to get some milk. After he guides you through building your first bakery and selling your first bread, you can start selling your produce using a helicopter to fill the orders. Once you deliver to your first client, you get to give your town a new name. 

At the start, your town is small, but it will grow as you learn the ropes. Surrounding your town are unexplored lands with a dollar sign. When you click on the dollar sign, the pop up shows you the condition to unlock. You need more people living there and gold coins to be able to purchase the land next to you. 

On the top left corner is a star with a number in the center. That is your level in the game, gain experience points by performing tasks and filling orders for your townspeople. At the bottom is the population: the amount of current residents and the maximum of people you can have there. To invite people to live in your town, you have to build houses. You increase your population cap by building community buildings such as Town Halls, Grocery Store, Schools etc. 

The currencies sit on the top right hand corner of the screen. You can do most things using  coins, where you can earn by filling orders and helping people in the game. Township Cash or T-Cash is a premium currency you use to speed up certain processes or buy missing items to complete a quest. Gems are often found in the mines, sometimes in treasure chests. Gems activate boosters in the Laboratory, and they also let you buy special decorations and unlock Zoo Cards. 

Below the population bar, you have settings and a mail icon. The settings window allows you to connect your game with Facebook or Google Play to save your game progress. You can also choose to play with other people in Co-op competitions or use real money in the game. This is useful if you want to stop children from buying things in the game when you are not looking. 

You can visit your friends if they are also playing Township. Tap on the Friends button at the bottom left corner. Then you can invite your friends by sending them invitations. If someone invites you to be their friend, the message will appear on the envelope icon on the top. You can also share invitation codes if you link your game with Facebook. 

At the start, you have to keep planting crops and feeding your cows to get materials. Build factories like a bakery, dairy factory and feed mill to boost the amount of money you earn. Every order you fill will earn you coins and experience points. Not all customers will pay you coins, some special orders will earn you T- Cash or Gems. If you have enough ingredients to fill an order, the helicopter button at the bottom will have a small green tick. But you can check what you need by tapping on the pins, their requirements will be on the right hand side. You can buy the missing ingredients using T-Cash or make the items yourself. 

You have to unlock certain buildings by either leveling up or reaching a certain population. When you obtain the helicopter and the train, you can finally sell your items or trade them for raw material to build your town. Everytime you harvest or collect raw ingredients from your farm, it will go to a barn. You have space to store 50 items, this includes crops, factory goods and so on. Reduce the amount you have in the barn by filling orders so you can get money to upgrade your town. 

Instead of keeping raw materials like wheat or milk, turn them into bread and dairy. Use the feed mill to turn crops into feed for chicken or cows. You do not have to harvest all the crops when they are ready, unless you need to fill an order. At the start of the game, storage will not be an issue as you will be trying to sell as many items as possible to have enough coins to build facilities and factories. You can also focus on filling train and plan orders to get barn tools, and use them to increase storage capacity. 

There is no war or natural disasters in Township, your focus is to build your town to be the best town on the block. Help your friends build their dream town by sending them things they need to fill orders. Supercharge your town by building the Laboratory at level 18, then you will get access to 9 special boosters that supercharge your farms. 

Using gems you get from mines, you can trade for boosters. Super- Harvest doubles your crop yield per field. You will receive double units from farm buildings- animal or mushroom, when you use the Advanced Farming booster. Sometimes, you will get special boosters from the Yacht Club or events. You can only activate 3 different types of boosters at the same time, but if you deactivate them, any time left on the booster is lost. 

Be the best Mayor in Township by keeping your residents happy. You can also decorate your town with beautiful decorations, as well as becoming a hub of information and culture.
